Abundantly Grateful

Each month we get the opportunity to write this letter directly to you, our reader, after all the other preparations for the new edition are pretty much done. The articles are written and edited, the artwork is selected, and the layout s nearly complete. That’s when we get a moment to sit down and decide what we want to say to each of you.
In between each edition, we venture out and about Oahu meeting with clients and delivering magazines. During these travels, we have the opportunity to meet with some of you and talk about Natural Awakenings and the stories it brings to our com-munity every month. To each of you we say, Mahalo Nui Loa — we are abundantly grateful for your appreciation and support.
November is historically a time that is marked with giving thanks. In many parts of the world, it marks a time of harvest and preparation for winter. The
Wise Words article this month is about being grateful and how being grateful is  distinctly different from having gratitude or being thankful. We choose to be grateful each and every day. We hope that you do also.

Our feature article this month is about the immune system. When working properly, the immune system can protect our bodies from all sorts of attacks. The article points out that we can help boost the immune system by eating the right nutrients, making sure we get the right balance of vitamins, minerals and fiber, and avoiding exposure to toxins. We are also offering three therapy briefs featuring treat-ments that can help in the healing process. Red Light, Stem Cell and Laser therapy are all cutting-edge treatments that help boost healing.

The Healthy Kids department is offering ways to inspire creativity and Healthy Pets offers tips on massaging your dog. Rover will love it!
Please enjoy these and the rest of the November edition.

PS - You may notice in the ad on page 39 that Natural Awakenings Hawaii is looking for a new owner. Rest assured, we are planning to continue publishing while we seek a like-minded individual to take over the operation and continue to bring you the cutting-edge information on natural health, nutrition and fitness.

Inquiries about the purchase are being handled by the Franchise Director, Anna Romano, 239-530-1377. Thank you in advance for your continued support during this transition.
