Help! I Can’t Stop Snoring!

Dr. Dennis Nagata Has a Gentle Laser Treatment

While snoring can happen at any age, the incidence of snoring has been shown to increase as we get older. One factor that contributes to this is the loss of elasticity of the uvula (that piece of tissue at the back of the throat). There is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a laser that can tighten the uvula, soft palate and surrounding tissues to reduce the chance of snoring.

Dr. Dennis Nagata, a member of the Landmark Dental Group in Honolulu, uses NightLase to treat snoring. NightLase is a fractional laser for non-ablative thermal heating of the tissue. This causes the collagen fibers to shrink, which opens the airway and reduces snoring and sleep apnea. Clinical results have shown that patients reported an 85% improvement in snoring reduction after three treatments. Average improvement after just one treat-ment showed a 51% improvement. Studies have also shown that results were still effective after 28–36 months.

Anyone suffering from snoring can contact Dr. Dennis Nagata for an evaluation to see if this safe and effective treatment is right for them.  Location: Waikiki Landmark Building, 1888 Kalakaua Ave., Suite C311, Honolulu.
